Quantum Lottery Tickets: Exploring SLTs in Quantum-Enhanced Multi-Head Attention

TL;DR: We're bringing quantum computing into the lottery ticket game - can quantum-inspired attention mechanisms create better winning tickets? By implementing quantum superposition principles in attention, we hypothesize that we'll find more efficient and expressive SLTs.

Research Question: How do quantum-inspired attention mechanisms affect the existence and properties of strong lottery tickets in multi-head attention?

Hypothesis: Quantum-enhanced MHAs support SLTs with exponential improvement in approximation accuracy compared to classical MHAs of equivalent size.

Experiment Plan: 1. Implement quantum-inspired attention using superposition states and entanglement
2. Apply SLT search algorithms to both classical and quantum MHAs
3. Compare approximation error bounds, sparsity levels, and computational efficiency
4. Analyze whether quantum properties enable discovery of tickets impossible in classical settings
5. Validate on quantum computing simulation platforms with NLP benchmark tasks
