The attention mechanism itself is the core of intelligence. Human perception has bottlenecks and cannot process all information; attention is the "bottleneck" through which the brain filters and focuses information.
The economic model of the internet is built precisely on human attention. Internet products compete for users' limited attention and convert it into traffic. Whether it's a search engine's PageRank (which can be understood as a kind of attention voting between web pages) or recommendation algorithms that complete content distribution by predicting what users will pay attention to, their core mechanisms align with the mathematical description of the "attention mechanism": retrieving from a set of Keys (the content library) via a Query (user interest) to obtain Values (recommendation results).
