If LLMs experience new emotions how would we know? Most examples of trying to attribute emotions to LLMs have relied on the similarity they have to our emotions. Is there actually a way to empathize with an emotion that bears little relation to your own? Maybe through the feeling of 'not being in control of one's state'.
