The Wisdom Factor: Integrating Ethical Decision-Making and Emotional Intelligence into Leadership Style Taxonomies

Drawing inspiration from Goyal et al. (2024) and Armesto-Céspedes et al. (2024), who separately highlight wisdom leadership and emotional intelligence, this project synthesizes these constructs into a new taxonomy. The idea is to develop and empirically validate a “Wisdom-Emotion Integrated Leadership Model” and test its predictive power for team cohesion, innovation, and resilience compared to established models (like transformational/transactional). This addresses the gap in current literature where wisdom and EI are treated as modifiers rather than core dimensions of leadership. If successful, this could redefine what organizations look for when developing or hiring leaders for complex, value-laden settings.
