Can we predict what kind of AI Slop will be common as soon as certain media falls under GenAI's capabilities? e.g., here are predictions for three Video Game Slop genres:

  • everyday life as combat, e.g., Street Fighter for job interviews games, the dream of having agency to fight
  • aesthetic reputation games, e.g., an Aura Farming game with KoTOR-style morality that gets you to perform the creator's vibe
  • management sims for real-life stress, e.g., a million bespoke parenting-as-management games that are 'impossible on purpose' by overwhelmed parents
